Sennheiser HME 100 Special Edition 3

Christmas Special

Proven flying companion in a new design - the HME 100-SE-3 special limited edition of the HME 100 pilot's headset

A shimmering silver and anthracite

carbon-look finish, optimum wearing comfort and excellent noise attenuation: the HME 100-SE-3, a special limited edition of the HME 100 pilot's headset from Sennheiser, will be available from March 2011. Production of the model for private pilots is limited to 1,000 units.

Whether in a helicopter, a propeller plane or a turboprop aircraft - Sennheiser's new special edition HME 100-SE-3 pilot's headset reliably protects the pilot's hearing from the effects of noise while at the same time setting new design accents in the cockpit. "Our HME 100 model has already proven itself on many flights. The special edition with its high-quality carbon-look finish turns the headset into a real eye-catcher -providing both reliable communication and exclusive design," said Ralf Kargel, Product Manager Professional Headsets & Aviation.

Comfortable protection for your ears

The headset offers passive noise attenuation of up to 40 decibels. The soft padded ear cups completely enclose the ears, ensuring a perfect fit. They guarantee maximum wearing comfort even during long flights. A further benefit: the size of the headband can be individually adjusted to ensure that children are also optimally protected from noise while on board. To avoid any mix-ups, the headset can also be personalised on a name block on the headband.

Optimum communication

The HME 100-SE-3 guarantees perfect communication in the cockpit. High-quality transducers make sure that speech is clearly comprehensi-ble. As a further feature, a volume control on the headset allows the volume to be quickly and easily adjusted to suit the user's needs. Optimum communication is also ensured by the boom microphone: its noise compensation system guarantees very good speech transmission.

The HME 100-SE-3 headset is connected using a 6.3 mm jack plug (headphones) and a 5.25 mm jack plug (PJ-068, microphone). The headset comes with Sennheiser's ten-year guarantee.
