The content of this Oxford text book series meets the requirements of the JAR-FCL theoretical knowledge syllabus for the Air Transport Pilot Licence
(ATPL), and complies with the ATPL learning objectives published by the JAA. Many diagrams, most of them in colour, are used to explain the more
difficult concepts and the majority of chapters include multiple choice questions which allow students to check their progress. Now in its 40th Year of continuous operation as a Training School for Air Transport Pilots, Oxford Aviation Training has an enviable and long-established, worldwide reputation for the provision of high quality pilot training. The First educational establishment to be awarded the United Kingdom¹s prestigious Queen¹s Award for Industry, Oxford has trained more than 14,000 pilots for some 50 major airlines and Government bodies representing more than 60 countries throughout the world. Today, at its two bases at Oxford and in the United States, the school trains more than 250 pilots a year to the JAA ATPL standard. It also trains multi-engine pilots for both the Royal Air Force and overseas Air Forces.
The learning material is contained in 14 soft-bound books. The text is supported by numerous colour illustrations and includes a full range of self assessment tests.
