Advanced design and manufacturing procedures along with many years of service experience have allowed Survival to affordably price its 4 person raft keenly and package it in a lightweight compact valise of 4" x 12" x 14" and with a weight of only 12 lbs. This inflated raft provides a fresh water buoyancy of 190 lbs per person and a deck area of 3.6 sq.ft. per person thus exceeding government requirements. 
 

Each raft is comprised of a buoyancy tube, deck, life lines, boarding handles, carbon dioxide automatic inflation system, retaining line, hand pump, bailing bucket, sea anchor and valise. 


This equipment is packed into its own case, externally separate from the raft case. The cases are attatched to each other with velcro and tie lines. These separate valises provide good flexibility for raft and equipment combinations. You can now aquire your basic raft and equipment separately to meet your individual requirements or you can easily revise your equipment without disturbing the basic raft. 

Raft materials and components have been chosen for long life, reliability and reduced service costs. Buoyancy tubes and decks are constructed of tough, heavy duty neoprene coated nylon conforming to government specs. Canopies are fabricated from high visibility orange compound coated nylon to aid in search and rescue operations. All life lines, retaining lines and handle webbing are of 100% nylon. The raft valise is made from vinyl coated nylon with nylon velcro closures. 
 

The inflation gas release valve is one of proven dependability with over 30 years of successful operational reliability. Survival Products rafts are constructed using metal in only the cylinder and valve assemblies thus minimising corrosion and consequent damage to adjacent items. 
 

Each raft is pressure tested and all seams and adhesive bonds thoroughly checked prior to release. Quota samples are tested to near destruction as part of a continuing process of product analysis and improvement.
