  • Description

Levil Aviation is excited about the development and release of the BOM. Every pilot should have a safety net when they go flying because no matter how much we hope for the best, it is always good to be prepared for the worst. The BOM provides an affordable solution that gives pilots the peace of mind they need to be able to safely overcome any instrument malfunction or related emergency.

The BOM (Broadcasting Outer Module) is the first and only aerodynamic pod that mounts under the wing of the aircraft. All components are incorporated into the BOM, making it a fully independent, completely wireless, all in one avionics device. The BOM is a platform for innovation, setting the stage for the future of aviation.

What makes the BOM Special?

  • Angle of Attack (AOA)
  • Heated Pitot Static for indicated airspeed
  • WAAS GPS
  • High-performance AHRS and solid-state technology
  • ADS-B In Receiver for weather and traffic
  • Self-powered and self-charging system
  • Wireless Platform offering iOS/Android compatibility
  • Automatically power on/off with the vibration of the engine
  • Small and lightweight
  • Records flight data with SD card

Installation was made easy by eliminating wires altogether and making the BOM a completely wireless interface system. Installation requires:

  1. Remote location: Under the wing or any place away from propeller backwash.
  2. Positioned close to the leading edge of the wing (for GPS reception).
  3. Attitude adjustments for level flight.
  4. An angle of Attack calibration.

Once it is installed, the BOM connects via Wi-Fi to a tablet inside the cockpit and data can be displayed on multiple Apps thanks to its open protocol.

“We are super excited about this product, we have worked very hard to make this as innovative and forward-thinking as possible. I can’t wait to see what this product does to the world of aviation”- Ananda Leon GM Levil Aviation.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Question: Does the BOM have an ADS-B out?
Answer: The BOM doesn't apply for ADS-B out since it is self-contained and not wired to the aircraft.

Question: Does the BOM have a warranty?
Answer: Yes, your unit is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase.

Question: What is the drag coefficient of the BOM?
Answer: This aerodynamic design only produces 0.175 lbs of force at 100 knots and 0.7 Lbs of force at 200 knots. The dimensions are 10” x 3.7” x 1.8” with a total weight of 1 lb.

Question: What apps is the BOM compatible with?
Answered: The BOM is compatible with our AHRS Utility App (free of subscription), iFly GPS, Aerovie, iEfis, EasyVFR, Fltplan, FlyWise Efis, iFlyPlanner, Naviator, Sky-Map, Xavion, ForeFlight, Avare, WingX Pro, Skydemon, Air Navigation Pro, FlyQ, and many more!

Question: Can I mount it on a certified aircraft?
Answer: Yes, the BOM is NORSEE Approved. NORSEE is a production approval that allows Levil Aviation to legally sell units for installation on certified aircraft.

Question: Can I get weather information?
Answer: The BOM has real-time weather and traffic with an optimal high-quality ADS-B receiver. It also maximizes reception while maintaining low power consumption. There is no need for remote antennas. The BOM captures the weather and traffic information even where other devices won't reach. Satellite weather is not available.

Question: Is it easy to install?
Answer: Yes, the installation was made easy by eliminating wires altogether and making the BOM a completely wireless interface system
